Rims for the GMC Sierra
The GMC Sierra is a full-size American pickup that combines raw strength with a well-considered appearance, and the right rims reinforce that feeling further. Whether you drive an SLE, a Denali or an AT4X, the rim choice affects how it feels to drive, its load capacity and how the vehicle is perceived. Enter your registration number and we will show you straight away which rims fit your vehicle.
What should you consider when choosing rims for the GMC Sierra?
The GMC Sierra comes in several weight classes with different bolt patterns, and that is the most common mistake when buying rims. The Sierra shares a platform with the Chevrolet Silverado, which makes the range of rims wide, but always check that the bolt pattern, ET value and load rating are right for your specific variant. The Sierra 1500 runs 6x139.7 while the Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD use 8x165.1. The ET value on the Sierra is generally around ET28–ET31, like the Silverado. Choose the wrong ET and you risk rubbing against the arch or the rim catching the brakes and suspension.
Bolt pattern and hub diameter on the GMC Sierra
The right bolt pattern is the basic condition for a rim to fit. Here is what applies: GMC Sierra 1500 (2014–): 6x139.7, hub diameter 78.1 mm. GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD: 8x165.1, hub diameter 116.7 mm. GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD (2010–): 8x180, hub diameter 124 mm. The Sierra and Silverado share a bolt pattern, which means rims that fit a Silverado in most cases also fit a Sierra. Enter your registration number on our site and the right rims are filtered out automatically.
Which rim size fits the GMC Sierra?
The original sizes vary by trim and model year: GMC Sierra SLE and SLT: 17–22 inches. GMC Sierra Denali: 20–22 inches. GMC Sierra AT4: 18 inches from the factory. GMC Sierra AT4X: 18 inches with off-road tyres from the factory. Many Sierra owners choose to go up to 20 or 22 inches for a fuller look. Remember that larger rims need a lower tyre profile to keep the overall wheel circumference right; otherwise the speedometer, and at worst the ABS system, is affected.
Steel wheels for the GMC Sierra
Steel wheels are the dependable, good-value choice for anyone who drives hard and wants rims that take most things. On a heavy pickup like the Sierra, steel wheels are an excellent choice for winter use: they take cold, salt and tough road conditions without giving way. Easy to replace if anything happens, and always at a competitive price. At Statusfälgar we offer steel wheels for the Sierra in the most common dimensions. Read more about steel wheels →
Alloy wheels for the GMC Sierra
Alloy wheels lift the whole Sierra – in both appearance and performance. The lighter construction reduces unsprung weight and improves handling and braking performance. We have alloy wheels for the Sierra in a wide range of designs and finishes, from clean Denali-inspired wheels to aggressive multispoke models in matt black, anthracite, gun metal or polished silver.
