FAQ – Common questions about complete wheels

Here we have gathered the most common questions about complete wheel packages. Everything from how to order to the difference between summer and winter wheels. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, you are welcome to contact us at info@statusfalgar.se or +46 852705264.

What is a complete wheel package?

A complete wheel package means the rim and tyre are already assembled, balanced and ready to fit; all you have to do is change them over. You avoid a trip to the tyre shop for mounting and balancing, which saves both time and money. Everything is delivered straight to your door.

How do I order a complete wheel package?

Enter your registration number on our site and we will show you straight away which wheel packages fit your car. Choose your rim, add it to the basket and suitable tyres are shown automatically. Choose your tyre and you have a complete wheel package ready to be delivered straight to you.

Can I buy complete winter wheels and summer wheels at the same time?

Yes. Many choose to order both packages at once: alloy wheels with summer tyres and steel wheels with winter tyres. It saves time at the seasonal change and extends the life of the tyres. Contact us at info@statusfalgar.se and we will help you put the right packages together.

Is balancing included in a complete wheel package?

Yes. All our complete wheel packages are balanced and ready to fit when they are delivered to you. All you have to do is change the wheels over.

What is the difference between complete summer wheels and winter wheels?

Complete summer wheels are usually combined with alloy wheels and summer tyres optimised for temperatures above 7 degrees. Complete winter wheels are most often combined with steel wheels and winter tyres – studded or friction – for safe driving on snow and ice. Keeping two complete sets saves time at the seasonal change and extends the life of the tyres.

Which bolt pattern does my car have?

It depends on the car's make, model and year. Enter your registration number on our site and only compatible wheel packages are filtered out automatically; you do not need to know the bolt pattern yourself. Common bolt patterns on pickups are 6x139.7 on American models. Vans often run 5x120 on the VW Transporter, 6x130 on the Sprinter and 5x118 on the Fiat Ducato.

Can I choose a different rim size from the original?

Yes, but you have to compensate with the right tyre dimension so the overall wheel circumference stays close to the original. Otherwise the speedometer, and at worst the ABS and ESP systems, are affected. We will help you find the right combination of rim and tyre for your specific car.

Are complete wheel packages suitable for vans and campervans?

Yes, but it matters all the more that you check the load capacity. A van or campervan is heavier than a passenger car and needs tyres and rims with the right load rating for the vehicle's gross weight fully loaded. We will help you find the right package with the right load capacity for your particular vehicle.

What is the difference between steel wheels and alloy wheels in a wheel package?

Steel wheels are heavier, rugged and good value – the obvious choice for winter wheels. Alloy wheels are lighter and improve handling, braking performance and appearance, but cost more. Most people choose alloy wheels for summer and steel wheels for winter: two complete sets that make seasonal changes simple and quick.
